Director of Generalist Health Care Curriculum

Join York University's School of Medicine as the Director for Generalist Health Care, Foundations (Year
1). Lead the development of a cutting-edge medical curriculum focused on primary care and generalism.

This pivotal leadership role demands an MD with a preference for a Master’s in a relevant discipline. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the integration of case-based learning and other innovative teaching methodologies into the GHC curriculum. Collaborating with a diverse team of educators and program leads will help uphold the commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in medical education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the curriculum design for GHC 1

• Develop, assess, and refine learning objectives

• Collaborate with faculty on learning experiences

• Ensure compliance with accreditation standards

• Advocate for student accommodations and learning support

Requirements:

• MD required;
Master’s degree preferred

• Proven experience in curriculum design and assessment

• Background in primary care practices

• Strong understanding of EDI initiatives in education

• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
