Working closely with the Senior Manager, Learning Initiatives, the Learning Specialist is responsible for planning, consulting, organizing, and executing high-quality learning experiences for Summer and Articling Students, as well as Junior Associates.

Major Responsibilities- Organizes complex, ongoing legal curricula, including project planning, scheduling and leading status meetings, tracking and delivering on action items, organizing internal stakeholders, marketing programs and learning resources, and scheduling internal subject matter experts or external vendors to deliver programs.
- Takes a lead role in ensuring the smooth delivery of all junior learning curriculum programs, including acting as primary host, confidently keeping program pacing on track to ensure coverage of key topics, evaluating program success and implementing design changes. Technical proficiency with Zoom and MS Teams required.
- Maintains presenter pool by continually sourcing, preparing, supporting and assessing new presenters as required. Advises presenters on learning design fundamentals to ensure effective presentations that meet organizational and learning goals as well as CPD criteria.
Education and Experience
This position requires a university degree, and 3 years’ work experience in a learning role, preferably in a professional services environment with both learning design and learning project management experience. Certifications in project management and/or adult learning an asset. Knowledge of legal CPD administration or ability to quickly gain this knowledge an asset.
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong organization and project management skills

- Adult learning and instructional design experience
- Highly flexible, with strong customer service‑orientation and professional manner
- Computer knowledge including proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point
- Experience using an LMS
- Facilitation/presentation skills and aptitudes
- Ability to take initiative and work independently
- Interest in and aptitude for educational technology
- Discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality
We are currently working in a hybrid work arrangement, which includes a requirement to work primarily in the office and flexibility to work remotely up to 2 days per week.
CompensationTherange of expected compensation for this position is $72,000 - $82,000 annually. Compensation offered will be based on a variety of factors including job‑related knowledge, education, skills and experience.
