The Department of Chemistry at the University of Toronto seeks a qualified candidate for the Sessional Lecturer position in CHM
135H1F. This role requires skillful lab coordination and supervision of teaching assistants to support approximately 1900 enrolled students. You'll cover essential chemistry topics, from atomic theory to thermodynamics and solution properties.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate lab sessions and related logistics
• Supervise and guide lab demonstrators effectively
• Conduct lab tests and exams with care
• Manage student grading and academic records
• Provide office hours for student needs
Requirements:
• A PhD in chemistry or affiliated discipline
• Experience in physical chemistry instruction is a plus
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
• Commitment to fostering a positive learning environment
• Ability to mentor diverse students
