Engage students at the University of Toronto as a Sessional Lecturer for WGS
355H1S, focusing on Gendered Labour Around the World. Lead discussions on gender, class, and workplace hierarchies.
This position requires a completed Ph.D. and involves teaching about masculinities and femininities in global service work. You will prepare syllabi, manage course materials, and foster student communication through various channels. Your expertise in Caribbean and/or Afro-Asian feminisms will enhance the learning experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and deliver lectures and course materials
• Develop and grade assignments and assessments
• Hold regular office hours for student support
• Manage communication through email and Quercus
• Oversee any TAs or graders assigned to the course
Requirements:
• Completed Ph.D. in relevant scholarly areas
• Previous teaching experience in university-level courses
• Expertise in Caribbean or Afro-Asian feminisms is a plus
• Strong commitment to diversity and inclusion
• Ability to adapt to a changing delivery method
