Provides strategic leadership for the development,expansion and sustainability of OFIFC learning partnerships, instructorexcellenceand revenue-generating training initiatives. The manager oversees instructor teams, strengthens external and communitypartnershipsand advances innovative learning opportunities that support organizational growth, sector capacitydevelopmentand culturally grounded training delivery.
- Develop and sustain strategic learning partnerships that expand OFIFC training opportunities, organizationalvisibilityand sector engagement.
- Strengthen instructor supervision, coaching and professional development.
- Lead the development and implementation of revenue-generating training initiatives that align with organizational priorities and community needs.
Learning Partnerships and Business Development(40%):
- Lead the development and coordination of strategic partnerships with Indigenous organizations, post-secondary institutions, ministries, and sector partners to expand learning and training opportunities
- Identify,pursueand support revenue-generating opportunities related to training delivery, curriculum development, facilitationservicesand organizational learning initiatives.
- Support the development or partnership agreement, memorandums of understanding, letters of agreement, and collaborative training plans aligned with organizational priorities.
- Collaborate with internal leadership and external stakeholders toidentifyemerging training needs and opportunities for growth.
- Represent OFIFC as technical support in partnership meetings, conferences, workinggroupsand sector engagement opportunities related to learning and training initiatives.
- Monitor partnership outcomes, training participation and organizational impact to support sustainability and continuous improvement.
- Support the development of strategic approaches to increase organizational visibility and strengthen OFIFC’s role as a leader in lifelong learning.
- Collaborate with finance to support budget planning, revenue tracking, contractmonitoringand final reporting related to training initiatives and partnerships.
Learning Excellence, Curriculum and Training innovation 35%)
- Lead the continuous improvement of OFIFC learning and training initiative to ensure high-quality, culturallygroundedand community-responsive learning experiences
- Leads the coordination and continuous improvement of accreditedpostsecondaryand progressional learning programs, ensuring compliance with academic,partnership sand quality assurance requirements.
- Strengthen and manage partnerships related to accredited learning initiatives by coordinating program delivery, supporting academic collaboration,monitoringprogramqualityand advancing pathways for learners
- Support the development, review and enhancement of curriculum, facilitator resources, learningmaterialsand delivery approaches across learning initiatives
- Ensure training delivery reflects Indigenous pedagogies, relational learning approaches, trauma-informedpracticesand culturally safe facilitation methods.
- Support the development of innovative learning models, including virtual learning, blended learning, land-basededucationand community-based delivery approaches.
- Coordinate quality assurance activities related to training standards, learner experiences,accessibility and curriculum consistency.
- Identify emerging sector trends, community priorities and training needs to inform future learning initiatives and program development.
- Collaborate with leadership to align learning initiatives with organizational strategic priorities, sectorneedsand long-term capacity building goals.
- Explore opportunities to expand training accessibility and partnerships through regional partnerships and innovative delivery strategies.
Administrative Support,Team Management and Financial Administration(25%):
- Collaborates with leadership to support knowledge sharing, cross-departmental coordination and research-informed practices within registrar and learning services operations
- Maintains operational documentation, processimprovementsand learner services practices to support organizational learning,continuity and service excellence
- Provides direct supervision and leadership to5assigned staff, including coaching, mentoring, performance management, and professional development.
- Establish clear expectations, priorities, and work plans for staff, ensuring workloads are effectively managed and teamobjectivesare achieved.
- Monitor staff performance and implement the performance management process, addressing performance concerns in collaboration with Human Resources.
