This full-time position requires working evenings, weekends, and holidays. Your primary responsibilities will include responding to inquiries and directing users to resources while maintaining circulation standards. Key skills in Microsoft Office and experience with Ex Libris Alma or similar systems will be essential to your success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as the first contact for general inquiries
• Provide library information and guideline explanations
• Compile and manage lending requests efficiently
• Troubleshoot routine library technology issues
• Direct casual staff and ensure circulation policies are followed
Requirements:
• Library Technician diploma or equivalent experience
• Minimum two years of front-line library customer service experience
• Proficiency in library catalogues and databases
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to lift and shelve materials safely
