This role requires a dedication to teaching outdoor physical activity and recreation in the Faculty of Kinesiology & Physical Education. Candidates should have a PhD or relevant expertise, along with teaching experience in academic settings. Engagement with wilderness recreation, leadership, and navigation will be essential in delivering content for this hands-on course.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and teach course content in person
• Prepare and mark assignments, tests, and exams
• Calculate and submit final grades for students
• Hold regular office hours for student support
• Supervise TAs assigned to the course if applicable
Requirements:
• PhD preferred or relevant expertise and experience
• Previous teaching experience at college or university
• Knowledge of outdoor activity planning and management
• Familiarity with environmental ethics and navigation skills
• Commitment to engaging students in outdoor settings
