Join the team at Oxford Learning Willowdale as a part‑time French teacher/tutor/coach. Ignite your passion for helping students succeed – en français!
We teach students HOW to learn French. We help students improve their academic and study skills in a small group setting. Our class sizes are small with a maximum of three students per teacher. We provide all of the curriculum and lessons; teachers do not need to lesson plan. Teachers explain and guide students through the provided material and help students talk about their understanding.
Position Requirements- Availability during after‑school and evening hours (3:00 pm – 8:00 pm) as well as some Saturdays (9:00 am – 1:00 pm)
- Available for a minimum of 2 evenings/week
- Strong background in spoken and written French and English
- In‑person instruction
- Ability to commute to the designated location – relocation packages are not available
- Mandatory vulnerable sector screening
- Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field
- Fourth‑year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
- Teaching certification is an asset
- Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 12 French curriculum
- Some experience teaching/tutoring French at a Kindergarten to Grade 12 (or equivalent) level
- Strong French skills and ability to guide students’ understanding
- Strong English written and oral communication skills
- Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
- Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels
- Teaching online and in‑person
- Following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
- Filling in post‑lesson notes
- Completing daily student communication updates
- Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times
- Fun staff events

- Monday to Friday
- Saturday availability
