Casa Educator at Waterfront Montessori

Cultivate young minds as a MACTE-accredited Casa Educator in the Earth Room at Waterfront Montessori Children's Centre. Engage children aged 2 to 3 through Montessori and nature-based learning.

WMCC, located on Toronto Island, is looking for a passionate educator to join our full-time team. In this role, you will plan and implement a tailored program for our small group of 12 children. Collaboration with fellow educators and maintaining strong communication with parents is vital in our cooperative style school.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop engaging lessons for children aged 2 to 3

• Supervise children's ferry trips and classroom activities

• Ensure an 8 to 1 child-to-educator ratio

• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians

• Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

• RECE and/or MACTE-accredited Montessori diploma

• Familiarity with Ministry of Education’s childcare standards

• Standard First Aid level C certification

• Vulnerable Sector Check and proof of immunizations

• Background in early childhood education preferred
