Part-Time ESL Instructor in North York

As an ESL Instructor, you will work up to 23 hours weekly, primarily evenings and weekends. Engage with students using the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) guidelines, providing comprehensive lesson plans and ensuring classroom inclusivity. You will play a vital role in promoting civic engagement and monitor student progress within the curricula framework.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach daily classes following CLB curriculum guidelines
• Design and implement professional, innovative lesson plans
• Create curricula to foster civic engagement among students
• Maintain an inclusive and equitable classroom atmosphere
• Integrate teaching methods with online learning platforms
Requirements:
• TESL-Ontario certification is mandatory
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
• Minimum of three years teaching experience preferred
• Familiarity with PBLA and anti-oppression frameworks
• Strong lesson planning and reporting skills
