Enhance academic readiness this summer by joining the Vanguard Scholars Program at the University of Toronto. As a Summer Academy Faculty, you will teach mathematics and writing to high-achieving Black students.
This term faculty position is dedicated to supporting Black North Initiative students through impactful instruction and mentorship. You'll create interactive, university-preparatory lessons while collaborating within a diverse educational framework. Ensuring each student's success is key, as you assess progress and offer academic support to foster their journey into postsecondary education.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver courses aligned with academic standards
• Design engaging lesson plans for summer academy
• Evaluate student performance and provide feedback
• Hold regular office hours for support
• Collaborate with program leadership and teaching assistants
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in relevant field
• 4+ semesters of university-level teaching experience
• Proficient in educational technology platforms
• Strong communication skills
• Legal authorization to work in Canada
