31H3 Glacial Geology course at UofT Scarborough. This sessional lecturer role focuses on glacial processes and includes a field trip to the GTA.
The University of Toronto Scarborough is looking for a qualified Sessional Lecturer to teach Glacial Geology. Candidates must have a PhD in Geology or a related field and teaching experience. This course will delve into the geologic history of glacial climates and requires understanding of modern cold-climate processes in Canada.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare lectures and practicals for effective student learning
• Create assignments and conduct field trips
• Manage grading and student evaluations
• Supervise teaching assistants as needed
• Participate in course evaluation processes
Requirements:
• PhD in Geology, Environmental Earth Science, or related field
• Experience in Glacial Geology or Sedimentology
• Previous university teaching experience preferred
• Familiarity with instructional technology such as Quercus
• Technical skills for online course delivery are advantageous
