Become a Sessional Lecturer for the WGS
397H1F course on Politics of Girlhood at the University of Toronto, where you will facilitate in-person discussions and assessments throughout the fall term.
This role requires a completed Ph.D. and offers a platform for teaching about the complexities of girlhood, with an emphasis on feminist interpretations and their societal impacts. Responsibilities center on syllabus development, student assessments, and fostering a supportive learning environment through communication and office hours.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design the course syllabus and necessary lecture materials
• Administer assignments, tests, and final evaluations
• Offer office hours to assist students personally
• Engage with students via email and course platforms
• Oversee and guide any teaching assistants involved
Requirements:
• Ph.D. related to the course content
• Teaching experience in relevant subjects
• Preferred knowledge in psychoanalysis
• Strong focus on equity, diversity, and inclusion
• Ability to cater to a diverse student population
