1090H Introduction to Computational Biostatistics with R at the University of Toronto. Engage graduate students in statistical analysis through comprehensive curriculum delivery and support.
This position as a Sessional Lecturer is for a 0.25 FCE appointment, with responsibilities shared between two lecturers. You will be instrumental in helping students utilize statistical inference tools and best practices for data management and analysis. Your expertise in R programming and machine learning will be crucial during the course.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and deliver engaging course content
• Develop, administer, and grade assignments and tests
• Hold regular office hours for student assistance
• Collaborate with teaching assistants for support
• Submit accurate grades following evaluations
Requirements:
• PhD in Statistics/Biostatistics or related field
• Proficiency in R, machine learning, and data structures
• Effective teaching experience at college/university level
• Previous experience in teaching computational biostatistics
• Commitment to equity and inclusion in education
