The successful candidate will be required to teach a variety of courses in the Medical Laboratory Assistant and Medical Laboratory Technology programs at the North campus. Instruction may include theory and laboratory courses from all five laboratory disciplines, as well as foundational areas such as mathematics, communication, and professionalism, and may also involve supporting students in practicum preparation and evaluation. The incumbent will engage in a variety of activities that support teaching and learning and promote student success including curriculum development, lesson planning, assessing student progress and achievement, and class management.
Beyond teaching duties, the candidate is expected to establish an effective learning environment, collaborate with the program team, contribute to student recruitment and promotion, develop and maintain industry connections and community partnerships, and participate in Humber Polytechnic and departmental committees and research initiatives.
A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
Experience / SkillsMinimum five years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Technologist. Experience in teaching and training within adult education is strongly preferred. Candidates must hold active licensure with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO).
