The Temerty Faculty of Medicine is offering a sessional lecturer position for the MMG
3003Y course focused on genomic methodologies. This course integrates theory and practical applications in molecular biology. Ideal candidates will possess an advanced degree in genetics or a closely related field, along with university-level teaching experience and expertise in genomic testing and computational analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver three weekly lectures and tutorials each term
• Collaborate with another instructor on course content
• Prepare lectures and answer student inquiries
• Utilize established course materials with minimal modifications
• Supervise TA support for student learning
Requirements:
• Advanced degree (MD or PhD) in relevant field
• Previous university teaching experience
• Knowledge of genomic methodologies and DNA-based methods
• Experience with data analysis in R and command-line
• Strong communication and teaching skills
