Chinese for Academic Purposes I. This role focuses on enhancing critical thinking and public speaking skills for students fluent in Mandarin.

We are seeking four Sessional Lecturers for the upcoming fall term. The position involves designing course content, facilitating discussions, and providing academic writing instruction. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Chinese literature and possess demonstrable experience in teaching university-level writing courses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver engaging course curriculum

• Interact with students through office hours and email

• Develop and grade assignments, tests, and exams

• Order necessary readings for the course

• Submit final grades promptly

Requirements:

• Ph.D. in Chinese literature or related field

• Native or near-native fluency in Mandarin

• Experience teaching Chinese academic writing courses

• Commitment to diversity and inclusion in teaching

• Excellence in teaching preferred
