- Teach a variety of courses in the Bachelor of Health Science – Health and Wellness and the Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences programs, including human physiology, health science communications, knowledge translation, health promotion, and research or biomedical laboratory‑technique courses.
- Engage in curriculum development, lesson planning, assessment of student progress and achievement, and class management.
- Establish an effective learning environment and collaborate as a team member contributing to the overall direction of the program.
- Contribute to student recruitment, promotion and marketing of the program, and develop and maintain strong industry connections and community partnerships.
- Participate on Humber Polytechnic and departmental committees and advance college initiatives, including research.
- Education: A PhD completed (or in progress) in a field of study related to Health / Life Sciences and/or Biomedical Sciences is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of previous teaching experience at the post‑secondary level.
- Applied industry experience in the Health / Life / Biomedical Science fields is considered an asset.
- Experience in curriculum development, mentoring, flexible learning modalities, learning management systems (LMS), classroom or laboratory management, and/or accommodation/human rights is an asset.
