As part of the Urban Indigenous Education Centre, this role emphasizes individualized instruction for First Nations, Métis, and Inuit students. You will work closely with teachers and community resources to ensure culturally responsive learning environments, assess student needs effectively, and foster an inclusive atmosphere. Your background will empower the success of Indigenous students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with teachers for curriculum adaptation

• Develop inclusive educational strategies

• Provide trauma-informed instruction tailored to students’ needs

• Support wrap-around services for learners

• Monitor and interpret student success data

Requirements:

• Lived experience as an Indigenous individual

• Holds a Certificate of Qualification in Ontario

• Experience in Special Education is an asset

• Knowledge of Indigenous Education frameworks

• Minimum two years of teaching experience preferred
