Position: Writing Instructor for Health Sciences
Join the University of Toronto as a Writing Instructor within the Health Sciences Writing Centre. Help students excel in academic writing essential for health-related fields.
As part of the Faculty of Kinesiology & Physical Education, this position spans from September 2026 to July 2027. You will instruct both undergraduate and graduate students, emphasizing critical writing skills, organization, and ethical writing practices. Workshops will be essential in fostering student capabilities and faculty liaison is key to alignment on academic assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach writing skills tailored for health disciplines

• Lead instructional workshops and training sessions

• Work with faculty to define writing assignments

• Support writing initiatives and resource development

• Promote principles of academic integrity in writing
Requirements:

• Master’s degree required; doctorate preferred

• Experience teaching writing at the university level

• Knowledge of AI tools in writing instruction

• Background in health or social sciences writing

• Enthusiasm for promoting diverse voices in academia
