The Toronto District School Board is looking for a dedicated educator to implement the Ojibwe language program. This role is targeted towards candidates with lived experience as First Nations, Métis, or Inuit and requires exceptional understanding of Indigenous ways of knowing. Your instructional approach will center on individualized learning plans that cater to each student's unique strengths.
Key Responsibilities:
• Foster inclusiveness in educational program development
• Deliver culturally relevant instruction based on student needs
• Utilize impactful teaching and assessment strategies
• Analyze student data to enhance programming
• Mentor staff in Indigenous educational practices
Requirements:
• Ontario College of Teachers Certificate required
• Basic qualifications in at least one educational division
• Fluency in Ojibwe (Anishinaabemowin)
• Strong knowledge of Indigenous community expectations
• Proven collaboration and problem-solving skills
