Position: Toronto Secondary Teacher for Indigenous Education
Become a transformative Secondary Teacher at the Native Learning Centre Downtown with the Toronto District School Board. Focus on improving academic success for Indigenous students through customized lessons.

This position seeks educators committed to fostering Indigenous identities and well-being among First Nations, Métis, and Inuit learners. You will develop and implement programs that cater to the unique strengths and needs of these students, ensuring culturally relevant instruction in Science, Math, and Physical Education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead initiatives promoting equity and inclusion

• Deliver instruction tailored to Indigenous learning styles

• Build partnerships for program implementation

• Administer assessments to track student progress

• Collaborate with the Indigenous Food Sovereignty program

Requirements:

• Ontario College of Teachers’ Certification in good standing

• Qualifications in Math, Science, and/or Physical Education

• Relevant Indigenous Studies credentials advantageous

• Knowledge of current Indigenous educational barriers

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
