Qualifications

Previous evaluation of performance as an Assistant at the University (if applicable).

Enrolled in: 1st year Masters, 2nd year Masters or PhD
Greater preference will be accorded first to Doctoral candidates, then Master's candidates.

Experience:

Position 1: 50 hours
The candidate must possess a Professional Master’s Diploma in Accounting or be a Master’s or PhD student in Accounting with a minimum GPA of 3.33 or higher (3.5+ preferred). The candidate should also hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a minimum GPA of 3.33 or higher (3.5+ preferred). Previous teaching assistant experience in accounting courses will be considered an asset.

Position 2: 25 hours 25
The ideal candidate will hold a Professional Master’s Diploma in Accounting or be a Master’s or PhD student in Accounting with a minimum GPA of 3.33 or higher (3.5+ preferred). The candidate should also hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a minimum GPA of 3.33 or higher (3.5+ preferred) and have completed the Governmental and Not-for-Profit Accounting course with a minimum grade of B+.

Previous teaching assistant experience in accounting courses will be considered an asset. This position may require the Graduate Assistant to attend the in-person classes. Note that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. Please note that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

Salary & Compensation

September 1, 2024 to August 31, 2025

Master - $49.93 per hour
PhD - $53.91 per hour

September 1, 2025 to August 31, 2026

Master - $51.17 per hour
PhD - $55.26 per hour

The breakdown below will be split between the two positions, one equaling 30 hours - the other equaling 50 hours.
