31H3 - Glacial Geology. Inspire students to explore the climatic history of ice sheets and glacial processes.
The University of Toronto Scarborough invites applications for a Sessional Lecturer position for the Glacial Geology course commencing in September 2026. You'll guide students through an examination of the geological records of ice sheets while incorporating practical knowledge and techniques essential for their learning. Your effective teaching methods will play a critical role in students mastering course content.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and prepare informative lectures and practical sessions
• Assess and create assignments as well as exams
• Organize field excursions focused on glacial geology
• Supervise teaching assistants during course activities
• Conduct comprehensive grade management and evaluations
Requirements:
• PhD in Geology or related field
• Experience in Glacial Geology or Sedimentology
• Teaching experience at the university level preferred
• Proficient in technology for instructional support
• Ability to manage online courses effectively
