The Toronto District School Board seeks a passionate teacher for its Native Learning Centre. You will play a pivotal role in advancing equity and inclusion through innovative educational practices tailored to First Nations, Métis, and Inuit students. Your commitment to integrating Indigenous knowledge and mentoring will help foster a positive academic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide culturally responsive instruction to diverse learners
• Integrate Indigenous content into lesson plans
• Mentor and collaborate with education partners
• Conduct ongoing assessments of student progress
• Coordinate initiatives for Indigenous Education best practices
Requirements:
• Ontario College of Teachers' Certificate in good standing
• Intermediate/Senior teaching qualifications
• Experience in Student Success or Special Education
• Knowledge of Indigenous languages and cultures
• Proven ability to promote equity in education
Drive positive change in Indigenous education while advancing students' success and well-being at the Native Learning Centre.
