Position: Full-Time Science Teacher at BSS
Become a Full-Time Science Teacher at The Bishop Strachan School starting August 31, 2026. Inspire girls through engaging science curricula and co-curricular activities.

Bishop Strachan School is looking for a passionate educator to teach Senior School Science and Biology. This role includes creating lesson plans, using inquiry-based learning methods, and contributing to student development through co-curricular involvement. Effective communication with parents and integration of technology to enhance learning are also vital parts of this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Science and Biology to Senior School students

• Prepare dynamic lesson plans aligned with curriculum outcomes

• Differentiate instruction for individual student needs

• Engage in co-curricular activities like clubs and trips

• Communicate with parents regarding student progress and learning

Requirements:

• Certification from the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) in Science and Biology

• Intermediate/Senior teaching qualifications required

• Proficient in Google Suite; familiarity with Brightspace an asset

• Commitment to diversity and inclusive practices

• Continuous improvement mindset in teaching
