The University of Toronto's Daniels Faculty is seeking an educator for VIS
211H1S, a studio course focusing on the intersections of art and paper. Candidates must hold a graduate degree (MA or MFA) and have teaching experience, alongside a proven artist portfolio. Key duties include crafting detailed course materials, overseeing teaching assistants, and evaluating student performance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and present course syllabus and materials
• Supervise and guide teaching assistants in the course
• Prepare assignments, tests, and final exams
• Mark student submissions and provide feedback
• Address student appeals, inquiries, and petitions
Requirements:
• MA or MFA (or equivalent graduate degree) essential
• Proven track record in teaching
• Strong portfolio as a contemporary artist
• Recognition in artistic practice is a plus
• Must manage student interactions effectively
