103H5F Introductory Chinese I. Ideal for educators specializing in Chinese linguistics and language instruction.
This position is available for the academic term from September to December 2026. Qualified candidates should have a Ph.D. in a relevant field and experience in teaching university-level language courses. We welcome applicants fluent in Mandarin who are passionate about second language education.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create and teach engaging course content
• Foster student interactions via email and during office hours
• Develop, administer, and evaluate student assessments
• Choose relevant readings for the course
Requirements:
• Ph.D. in Chinese language pedagogy or related discipline
• Proven track record in university teaching
• Strong background in second language acquisition
• (Near)-native Mandarin proficiency required
• Preference for those with teaching excellence
