410H5F. Deliver a course that explores formative literary works while enhancing students' writing and analytical skills in a remote or hybrid format.
Candidates should possess a Ph.D. in Asian Studies or a comparable discipline, with a strong foundation in teaching university-level Chinese literature.
Your role will emphasize the integration of historical and cultural contexts to deepen understanding. Provide guidance in literary devices and critical themes to support student development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create course content and lecture materials
• Engage students through timely email and office hours
• Evaluate student work through assignments and examinations
• Facilitate discussions on various literary forms
• Ensure access to essential readings for all students
Requirements:
• Ph.D. in Chinese literature, Asian studies or related area
• Experience teaching university courses successfully
• Near-native proficiency in Mandarin Chinese
• Familiarity with key works in modern Chinese literature
• Ability to assess and grade student performance
