Canadian Income Taxation I
Course
Description:
First of two courses in Canadian income taxation. It provides students with detailed instruction in income taxation as it applies to individuals and small unincorporated businesses. Current tax laws are applied to practical problems and cases. Covers employment income, business and property income, and computation of tax for individuals.

Qualifications- Minimum: CPA, CA designation; demonstrated teaching excellence, currency in and mastery of subject area; previous experience teaching a similar course at undergraduate (university) level or similar environment; several years related professional experience.
- Preferred:
Experience designing and teaching a university credit course, including preparation, delivery, assessment, grading, holding office hours, and supervising teaching assistants.
- Design, prepare, and deliver course content.
- Develop, administer, and mark assignments, tests, and exams.
- Calculate and submit grades; hold regular office hours and maintain reasonable availability for student and administrative contact.
- Supervise teaching assistants assigned to the course.
- Complete all course grading and be available throughout the exam period.
- Manage approximately 50 minutes per student enrolled over 30.
