Course
Description:
An introduction to the Canadian legal system and its effects on business entities. The course includes an examination of the Canadian court structure and a discussion of the various forms of business ownership, tort law, contract law, and property law.
Course Length: 60
Qualifications:
- Completion of L.L.B or J.D. required; at least three years related professional experience; demonstrated teaching excellence, currency in and mastery of subject area; previous experience in teaching a similar course at undergraduate (university) level.
- Preferred:
Several years related progressive professional experience; previous experience teaching a related course at UTSC with consistent, strong course evaluations.
Duties:
- Design and teaching of the university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content.
- Development, administration, and marking of assignments, presentations, quizzes, tests, and exams.
- Calculation and submission of grades, holding regular office hours and maintaining reasonable availability for student and administrative contact.
- Supervision of T.A. assigned to the course.
Approximately 50 minutes per student enrolled over 30.

Sessional Lecturer II‑Long Term $10,953.96;
Sessional Lecturer III $10,953.96;
Sessional Lecturer III‑Long Term $11,228.90.
