Lead the Applied Conservation Biology course at the University of Toronto Scarborough. As a Sessional Lecturer, your focus will also be on practical applications of conservation science.
The University of Toronto Scarborough is looking for a Sessional Lecturer for EES
3000H. This position is perfect for a PhD holder specializing in Conservation Biology, Ecology, or similar fields, especially those with teaching experience at a university level.
Your role will integrate conservation theory with practice, ensuring students grasp both the scientific and policy aspects of conservation in Canada.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create and teach lectures, labs, and assessments
• Evaluate and manage student coursework efficiently
• Oversee teaching assistants in instructional duties
• Engage in the course evaluation process
Requirements:
• Doctorate in Conservation Biology or related discipline
• Previous university teaching experience
• Expertise in Canadian conservation laws and policies
• Experience in practical conservation roles in various sectors
Drive student understanding of conservation practices and policies as part of U of T Scarborough's dedicated teaching team.
