Foundation-Level Illustration Instructor at OCAD

OCAD University is seeking a skilled Sessional Instructor for Foundation-level Observational and Conceptual Illustration Courses for Fall 2026-27. Elevate your teaching with an engaging curriculum focused on observational drawing and analogue media.

As a temporary Sessional Instructor, you'll develop course outlines and deliver studio sessions encompassing lectures, critiques, and evaluations. You will participate in faculty meetings and ensure adherence to academic standards and health & safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and implement course outlines and lesson plans

• Conduct lectures and studio sessions for students

• Evaluate student work through critiques and assignments

• Engage in faculty and program meetings regularly

• Ensure adherence to health & safety requirements

Requirements:

• Terminal degree in art, design, or related field

• Teaching experience at the post-secondary level preferred

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Expertise in observational drawing methodologies

• Proven professional studio practice demonstrating excellence
