Become a sessional lecturer for the course CSE
345H1F at the University of Toronto, focusing on educational equity and activism. This position runs from September 2026 through January 2027, delivered in-person.
The Critical Studies in Equity and Solidarity Program at New College seeks a sessional lecturer to teach critical concepts in education related to social justice. Candidates should possess a completed Ph.D. and demonstrate familiarity with anti-homophobia education and critical pedagogy.
Your role will encompass course design, delivery, and assessment, fostering student understanding of decolonial methods and activist frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create and deliver course materials for CSE
345H1F
• Administer assignments, tests, and grade evaluations
• Maintain regular office hours for student engagement
• Participate in departmental activities as required
Requirements:
• Ph.D. or equivalent in relevant area
• Expertise in social justice education practices
• Background in anti-oppressive teaching methods
• Knowledge of critical race theory and disability studies
• Drive for equity and inclusion in pedagogy
