346H1F Impressionism course. This role emphasizes art historical discourse and student engagement in an in-person setting.
Appointed from September 1 to December 31, 2026, you will host weekly lectures on Thursdays at the St. George campus, exploring Impressionism and its context. Candidate requirements include an MA in Art History (PhD preferred) and previous teaching experience at the university level. This position involves curriculum design, grading, and supporting students academically.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare weekly 2-hour lectures on Impressionism
• Develop and publish course materials via Quercus
• Conduct office hours for student consultations
• Lead and mentor teaching assistants during the course
• Assess the final grades and student submissions
Requirements:
• MA in Art History;
PhD preferred
• At least two years of university teaching experience
• Proficient in diverse writing styles specific to art
• History of supporting undergraduate writing skills
• Capable of marking various undergraduate assignments
