The University of Toronto is looking for a Sessional Lecturer to instruct FAH

The Business of Art. The ideal candidate will possess an MA, with a PhD in Art History being strongly preferred. Responsibilities include discussing auction market trends, analyzing artists, and facilitating a comprehensive understanding of art valuation methods.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct weekly in-person lectures
• Create and publish course syllabus and grading scheme
• Develop relevant student assignments
• Oversee and grade term tests and final examinations
• Hold office hours for academic support
Requirements:
• MA or PhD in Art History
• Proven teaching and writing expertise
• At least two years of experience marking undergraduate assignments
• Familiarity with various art writing genres
• Prior university level teaching experience preferred
Contribute to the academic growth of students in appreciating the business side of art.
