The University of Toronto Scarborough is hiring for a Sessional Lecturer to instruct a course on Freshwater Ecology And Biomonitoring from September to December 2026. Candidates should hold a graduate degree in Aquatic Biology and have solid experience in ecological monitoring methodologies. Key tasks include crafting course content, leading labs, and providing feedback to students.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lecture on freshwater ecology topics and conduct labs
• Develop and critique assignments while managing grades
• Hold office hours for student engagement
• Oversee teaching assistants and evaluations
• Fulfill any additional course-related duties
Requirements:
• Graduate degree in Aquatic Biology or equivalent
• Proven field experience in biomonitoring
• Teaching experience preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively with students
