The Faculty of Arts & Science invites applications for a Sessional Lecturer in the Department of Art History. This in-person course, FAH
480H1F, offers insight into the global art market. Applicants should hold an MA in Art History or a related area, with a preference for candidates who already possess a PhD and have substantial teaching backgrounds in art writing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct one 2-hour seminar each week
• Create and deliver a detailed syllabus and marking criteria
• Develop and assess student assignments and exams
• Hold office hours for academic support
• Respond to student inquiries efficiently
Requirements:
• MA required;
PhD strongly preferred
• Experience teaching university-level courses
• Proficient in art history writing styles
• At least two years in grading assignments
• Background in academic mentoring
