The University of Toronto is looking for a qualified Sessional Lecturer to instruct EESC
22H3, focusing on Environmental Geophysics. Help students grasp geophysical methodologies crucial for sustainability and environmental monitoring.
As a Sessional Lecturer, you will teach university students about applying geophysical techniques to address environmental issues. This position demands a strong instructional ability, particularly in gravity, electromagnetic surveys, and seismology. In addition, planning and assessing assignments will be key components of your responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver organized lectures and practical demonstrations
• Assess and grade student assignments and exams
• Conduct evaluations to improve course delivery
• Maintain regular office hours for student support
• Guide students on geophysical methods and applications
Requirements:
• Ph.D. or M.Sc. in geophysics is mandatory
• Teaching experience in a related field required
• Expertise with geophysical equipment
• Skill in processing software tools necessary
• Relevant previous teaching experience advantageous
