In this position, you will deliver the ESS
198H1F course, which covers the relationship between resource exploitation and societal challenges. Your duties will include facilitating discussions, grading assignments, and guiding students through presentations and research projects. Adeptness at organizing course materials and evaluations is crucial for success. Possible field trips will provide practical insights.
Key Responsibilities:
• Guide lectures focusing on resources and sustainability
• Oversee and evaluate student-led discussions and research
• Handle grading and manage the course administration
• Prepare field trip logistics to enhance course content
• Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Requirements:
• Doctorate in Earth Sciences or similar discipline
• Teaching experience at the university level is a plus
• Familiarity with topics of sustainability and resource use
• Ability to connect with diverse student groups
• Strong organizational and presentation skills
Deliver knowledge and inspiration on sustainability subjects to students at the University of Toronto.
