The University of Toronto is hiring a Sessional Lecturer for the Capstone Seminar (Security) course starting January 2027. Work with graduate students to resolve pressing security dilemmas for various clients.
In this dynamic role within the Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy, successful candidates will possess a graduate degree and experience in the field of security studies. This position emphasizes teamwork and client engagement as students investigate contemporary global security issues, providing real-world solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement the course syllabus
• Teach one 3-hour lecture each week
• Provide dedicated office hours for student support
• Prepare course materials, assignments, and tests
• Evaluate student work and assign grades
Requirements:
• Advanced degree in global affairs or related area
• Network to obtain clients for Capstone projects
• Teaching experience in higher education preferred
• Strong organizational and leadership capabilities
• Commitment to fostering a diverse learning environment
