The University of Toronto seeks a Sessional Lecturer for APS
470H1F, emphasizing Public Health and Engineering. Bring your expertise to the classroom for an enriching academic experience.
This role is situated at the downtown St. George campus, focusing on public health methods integrating engineering techniques. Responsibilities include planning lectures, grading assignments, and engaging with students to enhance their learning. The lecturer plays a critical role in assessing assignments and managing administrative tasks related to student evaluations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct 12 weeks of lectures and tutorials tailored to students
• Prepare and assess assignments and term work
• Engage with students during and outside class hours
• Manage petitions submitted after final grades
• Facilitate deferred exams when needed
Requirements:
• Ph.D. or equivalent experience in relevant field
• Extensive knowledge of public/occupational health regulations
• Strong background in exposure assessment methodologies
• Familiarity with epidemiological study designs
• Commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion
Contribute to the academic community by effectively teaching critical public health concepts alongside engineering at the University of Toronto.
