The University of Toronto's Temerty Faculty of Medicine is hiring a Sessional Lecturer for the MMG
3204H course. You will facilitate students' understanding of clinical genome analysis and variant interpretation while ensuring they gain exposure to industry practices. With an established course framework and extensive materials, your role includes engaging students, managing guest lecture arrangements, and overseeing discussions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead two-hour sessions weekly and engage students actively
• Coordinate with guest lecturers from various fields
• Modify course materials to enhance learning outcomes
• Assist students with their questions and concerns
• Work closely with previous lecturers to ensure continuity
Requirements:
• Advanced degree in genetics or a related discipline
• Professional experience in genome analysis
• Teaching experience in higher education preferred
• Ability to adapt previous materials for current use
• Candidates with higher rank preferred
