Sessional Lecturer in Quantitative Ecology

The University of Toronto Scarborough is seeking a Sessional Lecturer for the EES
1119H course, running from September to December 2026. As an instructor, you will engage students in learning methods like regression analysis and structural equation modeling, critical for analyzing environmental data. Candidates must possess a PhD in Environmental Statistics or Informatics and relevant teaching experience to effectively deliver course material.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and present comprehensive lectures and tutorials

• Administer assignments and exam creation along with grading

• Facilitate student engagement and feedback processes

• Guide students through complex statistical analyses

• Maintain the established lecture time of Fridays 1 PM - 4 PM

Requirements:

• PhD in Environmental Statistics or related field

• Proficiency in R or Python programming

• Documented research experience in quantitative ecology

• Prior experience in academic teaching roles

• Available during designated lecture hours
