Ideal candidates should have an MA or MFA and prior teaching experience. Strong writing and a background in art publishing are crucial for success in this role. Expect to manage course materials, supervise teaching assistants, and assess students' work comprehensively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare compelling lectures and course content
• Manage digital platforms for effective teaching
• Supervise and support teaching assistants
• Evaluate student submissions and conduct grading
• Address student queries, appeals, and concerns promptly
Requirements:
•
Required:
MA or MFA in related field
• Previous experience in university-level teaching
• Established writing and publication record in art
• Preferred:
Internationally recognized artistic practice
• Strong focus on diversity and inclusivity
Contribute to the academic growth of students studying art criticism at the University of Toronto.
