131H1S Practicals, specializing in introductory physics. This engaging in-person role supports hands-on learning and collaborative experiences for students.
This unique teaching opportunity requires a PhD in Physics and experience in university-level physics labs. The selected candidate will oversee practical sessions, where students participate in discussions and practical exercises. You'll work closely with teaching assistants to ensure high-quality lab experiences that count toward students’ final course marks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and present engaging course material for practical physics
• Train and oversee teaching assistants to enhance lab teaching
• Conduct meetings to facilitate smooth lab execution
• Engage students in interactive problem-solving sessions
• Review and submit students’ final evaluations and grades
Requirements:
• PhD in Physics required
• Proven experience in teaching physics at university level
• Preference for candidates with similar course teaching experience
• Strong commitment to inclusivity and diversity in education
• Capability to manage assessments and course content delivery
