As a Sessional Lecturer, you will be responsible for guiding students with prior exposure to Arabic in a structured educational environment. This course supports their journey in learning the Arabic language, starting from the alphabet to more complex grammar and comprehension exercises.
Your role enables students to connect with their heritage and prepares them for further Arabic language studies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design lesson plans aligned with course objectives
• Provide support through email and personal office hours
• Develop assessments and provide feedback on student performance
• Manage grade submission accurately
• Curate necessary reading materials for the course
Requirements:
• Ph.D. in Arabic cultural studies, literature, or closely related field
• Near-native fluency in Arabic
• Experience teaching Arabic at the university level
• Evidence of teaching excellence in academic settings
• Familiarity with various Arabic texts and cultures
