This Sessional Lecturer position is an excellent opportunity to influence students' understanding of language dynamics in various cultures. You will lead tutorials, manage marking, and engage with students during office hours. The course entails examining language rights and identity in Slavic and other global contexts. Flexibility in delivery methods may arise due to departmental decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead engaging 4-hour weekly tutorials
• Assess student assignments and provide constructive feedback
• Conduct office hours for student support
• Meet regularly with course supervisor for course coordination
• Develop assessment prompts for student evaluations
Requirements:
• Ph.D. in Slavic Languages & Literatures required
• Previous online teaching experience necessary
• Strong focus on equity, diversity, and inclusion
• Ability to adapt teaching methods as needed
• Familiarity with language policy topics
