Humber Polytechnic Indigenous Education Professor

As part of the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences, this role is dedicated to enhancing Indigenous education in response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Calls to Action. You will develop curriculum that reflects Indigenous perspectives and engage in community partnerships. Teaching will include land-based education, emphasizing a holistic approach to learning and inclusion of Indigenous practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver curriculum in Early Childhood Education and Nursing
• Create Indigenous-themed educational modules and workshops
• Embed land-and-culture based approaches in learning outcomes
• Advise faculty on integrating Indigenous content
• Build partnerships with Indigenous communities for educational purposes
Requirements:
• Minimum Master’s degree;
PhD is an asset
• At least five years of teaching experience in academia
• Proven experience with Indigenous health contexts
• Expertise in anti-racist pedagogies
• Strong curriculum design and instructional skills
