Engage students in the art of linguistic analysis as a Sessional Lecturer at the University of Toronto Scarborough. Teach Quantitative Methods in Linguistics starting Fall 2026.
The University of Toronto is inviting applications for the role of Sessional Lecturer for LINB
29H3. Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in Linguistics or a closely related discipline, with a strong background in R and statistical methodologies. This teaching role involves course design, delivery, grading, and student consultation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and teach course content effectively
• Create and grade assignments and examinations
• Provide comprehensive feedback to students
• Hold regular office hours for assistance
• Support the diversity and inclusion goals within the department
Requirements:
• Doctorate in Linguistics or related field
• Proven record in academic excellence and teaching
• Mastery of R and statistical analysis techniques
• Teaching experience in similar courses preferred
• Dedication to promote diversity and inclusion
